Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled GraphQL Full Stack Engineer specializing in TypeScript to join our team on a contract basis. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performing APIs that are essential for cloud-native environments. As part of an Agile team, the engineer will collaborate closely with other developers to drive API strategy and improve delivery processes, ensuring that the APIs are not only efficient but also secure and maintainable.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop GraphQL API services from schema to production integration.
- Build and maintain scalable TypeScript and Node.js services.
- Implement DevOps best practices in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Concourse, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate in Agile teams to drive API strategy and review code.
- Ensure the performance, security, and observability of APIs at scale.
- Utilize telemetry tools for monitoring API performance and reliability.
- Influence architectural decisions and improve existing codebases.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs and related infrastructure.
- Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js for back-end development.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Vitest and Playwright.
- Experience with Docker, Helm, YAML, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployments.
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to improve existing codebases and shape architectural direction.
