We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer for a 6-month contract to design and maintain scalable backend services that support high-profile digital products. Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices for customer-facing applications.
- Build secure and high-performing cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver comprehensive features.
- Optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while promoting engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Expert knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proven experience in designing and building scalable APIs and backend services.
- Significant experience working with AWS in production environments.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing and CI/CD.
- Experience in agile delivery teams.
- Familiarity with AI-powered products or integrating AI services is a strong advantage.
