Overview
The Senior Full Stack Engineer contractor will work within a well-established retail business engaged in a major internal transformation. This role involves developing modern React-based internal applications and supporting .NET backend services, with a strong emphasis on delivering scalable API-first systems to enhance business operations. The contractor will focus on solving real-world operational challenges and driving impactful results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop modern internal applications using React and TypeScript.
- Support .NET backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product and Operations.
- Replace legacy workflows with scalable, API-first systems.
- Build operational platforms for scheduling, inventory, and order management.
- Ensure high performance and scalability of frontend architecture.
- Deliver solutions tailored for retail, eCommerce, and supply chain environments.
Requirements
- Strong experience with React (v18+) and TypeScript.
- Proficient in backend development using .NET (C#).
- Experience in building scalable APIs and operational platforms.
- Background in retail, eCommerce, or logistics industries.
- Ability to work closely with various business stakeholders.
- Understanding of modern frontend architecture and performance optimization.
- Experience with scheduling and operational workflow systems is beneficial.
- Shopify experience is a major bonus.
