Overview
The Functional Consultant will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, focusing on gathering functional requirements, designing business processes, and configuring the system. Collaborating with various stakeholders and technical teams, the consultant will ensure that the ERP solutions are tailored to meet client needs while supporting testing and post-deployment activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead workshops to gather and define business requirements across finance and operations.
- Translate business needs into functional designs aligned to D365 Business Central capabilities.
- Configure core BC modules (Finance, Purchasing, Sales, Inventory).
- Support SIT/UAT, including test case creation, execution, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with technical teams, developers, and data migration specialists.
- Support deployment, cutover, and post go-live hypercare activities.
- Provide documentation across functional specs, process flows, and configuration.
Requirements
- Strong D365 Business Central functional consulting experience.
- Proven involvement in end-to-end ERP implementations.
- Good understanding of finance and operational processes (P2P, O2C, R2R).
- Experience with configuration and business process mapping.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced delivery environments.
