Overview
We are seeking a GCP Data Architect to join our team on a contract basis, focusing on the design and implementation of scalable cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect, model, migrate, and optimize enterprise data workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role emphasizes technical expertise in cloud data solutions and requires hands-on experience with various GCP services.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures on GCP.
- Conduct data modelling and architecture assessments.
- Oversee the migration of on-premises workloads to GCP.
- Develop and optimize data workflows using BigQuery, Dataflow, and other GCP tools.
- Construct real-time data pipelines to support business needs.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in cloud implementations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, specifically with GCP.
- Hands-on expertise in BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
- Strong skills in SQL and ETL/ELT design.
- Familiarity with GCS, Pub/Sub, IAM, and VPC configurations.
- Experience in both conceptual and physical data modelling.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
