Overview
We are looking for a hands-on GCP DevOps Engineer to join our cloud delivery team, focusing on building and operating secure environments on the Google Cloud Platform. The contractor will play a crucial role in establishing GCP landing zones, automating platform provisioning, and supporting development teams in deploying applications efficiently and securely. Occasional travel to London may be required.
Responsibilities
- Build and support secure GCP environments across multiple stages of delivery.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Design and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Administer GitHub repositories, workflows and GitHub Actions.
- Implement cloud security controls, IAM and secrets management.
- Monitor platform health, performance and security.
- Support development teams adopting DevOps best practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with GCP services including IAM, VPC Networking, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring and Secret Manager.
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions and repository management.
- Understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps principles.
- Experience implementing GCP landing zones is a plus.
- Public sector or regulated environment experience is desirable.
