Overview
The Google Workspace Engineer will be a vital part of a security transformation initiative aimed at enhancing data protection, endpoint security, and cloud identity capabilities within a modern Google Workspace environment. Collaborating closely with the Security Architect, this role focuses on implementing and refining security controls while working fully remotely with various technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Implement and enhance Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and controls.
- Improve DLP alerting, monitoring, and security visibility.
- Support the secure management of BYOD and endpoint devices.
- Configure and optimize Google Workspace security features.
- Contribute to identity and access management initiatives.
- Deliver security improvements by collaborating with technical stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of security best practices across cloud-based services.
Requirements
- Strong experience administering and securing Google Workspace environments.
- Experience implementing or managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and policies.
- Knowledge of endpoint security and BYOD management.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Identity and access management.
- Security-focused engineering background.
- Ability to work independently within a remote team.
