The Google Workspace Engineer will be a vital part of a security transformation initiative aimed at enhancing data protection, endpoint security, and cloud identity capabilities within a modern Google Workspace environment. Collaborating closely with the Security Architect, this role focuses on implementing and refining security controls while working fully remotely with various technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enhance Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and controls.
  • Improve DLP alerting, monitoring, and security visibility.
  • Support the secure management of BYOD and endpoint devices.
  • Configure and optimize Google Workspace security features.
  • Contribute to identity and access management initiatives.
  • Deliver security improvements by collaborating with technical stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of security best practices across cloud-based services.

Requirements

  • Strong experience administering and securing Google Workspace environments.
  • Experience implementing or managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and policies.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security and BYOD management.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Identity and access management.
  • Security-focused engineering background.
  • Ability to work independently within a remote team.
