Overview
We are seeking a Head of Data to spearhead the design and implementation of data platforms integral to AI solutions for a leading Wealth Management organization. This pivotal role involves technical leadership in both enterprise data architecture and cloud engineering, collaborating with teams focused on AI, Engineering, and Transformation to create secure, governed data infrastructures in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the enterprise data strategy supporting AI initiatives.
- Design modern data architectures utilizing Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure AI Foundry, and Dataverse.
- Build and optimize scalable cloud-native data pipelines.
- Implement data quality, governance, and security frameworks.
- Lead data migration and transformation activities.
- Produce architecture documentation and data models.
- Ensure compliance with FCA, UK GDPR, and internal governance standards.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to shape the future data platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering enterprise cloud data platforms.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, and Azure data services.
- Experience in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Proficient in SQL and Python (Pandas/PySpark).
- Background in supporting AI, ML, or intelligent automation workloads.
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and security.
- Experience working within regulated environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
