Overview
We are seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join a fast-growing fintech company focused on making credit more accessible. In this hands-on role, you will report directly to the CFO, managing financial modelling, performance reporting, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. Your expertise in finance will be essential in turning complex data into clear financial narratives for the leadership team and investors, allowing the company to make informed decisions as it scales its lending operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the group financial model and conduct monthly actuals versus budget analysis.
- Perform variance analysis and gross margin reporting across the loan book.
- Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast and lead annual budgeting and reforecasting.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare board and investor-ready KPI reporting.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and pressure-test financial assumptions.
- Provide insights to enhance understanding of performance and trajectory.
Requirements
- Significant experience in FP&A or commercial finance with full ownership of financial models.
- Exceptional skills in financial modelling, specifically from scratch.
- Experience in lending, fintech, or financial services with knowledge of loan book mechanics.
- Strong understanding of unit economics and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- An accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with lender or debt facility reporting is a plus; familiarity with FP&A or BI tools is beneficial.
