Overview
The Head of Information Technology will play a crucial role in leading the technology strategy during a significant phase of organizational transformation. Working within a hybrid framework, this contractor will be responsible for modernizing the tech estate, developing strategic roadmaps, and fostering a culture of innovation across various tech business units while balancing hands-on involvement and leadership. Responsibilities
- Drive the technology strategy and transformation initiatives across the organization.
- Develop and refine existing roadmaps to modernize the tech estate.
- Create a culture of innovation while ensuring high performance in tech business units.
- Collaborate with engineering squads and stakeholders to communicate technical objectives and roadmaps.
- Implement and design processes using Architectures, DevOps, Security, and Data management practices.
- Utilize hands-on expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform tech stacks to guide projects.
- Ensure compliance with security practices and integrate security tooling into daily operations.
- Lead large-scale transformation programs to navigate the organization through periods of change.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Head of Technology or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong background in managing technology transformations in dynamic environments.
- Hands-on expertise in DevOps within Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Solid architectural knowledge for designing and implementing technology processes.
- In-depth understanding of security practices and tooling applicable to tech environments.
- Experience working with data platforms and promoting data-first processes.
- Demonstrated capability in driving impactful change within financial and regulated industries.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
