Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM i / LANSA Developer to support a significant modernisation programme, focusing on business-critical applications within a robust IBM i environment. This fully remote contract role will involve collaborating with technical teams to evolve and modernise legacy systems while ensuring stability and maintainability of enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop applications using LANSA and IBM i technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernisation initiatives.
- Implement and manage REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Utilise DB2 for i and ensure effective data management.
- Promote environment changes and manage release processes using Git.
- Maintain and enhance legacy green-screen applications.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in IBM i / AS400 development.
- Strong proficiency in LANSA (including RDML/RDMLX and Visual LANSA).
- Experience with DB2 for i and RPG or CL programming.
- Understanding of legacy system operational concepts and modernisation strategies.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integration practices.
- Knowledge of Git and release management processes.
