Overview

The Independent Assessor will play a critical role in evaluating learners in the Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship programme, conducting end point assessments with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This position allows for flexible engagement as an independent contractor, where the assessor will manage their assessment workload in alignment with personal schedules and operational needs. Collaboration with Arden University will be essential in ensuring all assessments are graded fairly and thoroughly, reflecting best practices in education.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for, conduct, and grade End Point Assessments (EPAs) according to university regulations and quality assurance practices.
  • Record and upload all relevant assessment materials onto the necessary systems to meet service-level agreements.
  • Act as a credible ambassador for Arden University, exemplifying institutional values.
  • Utilize Arden University resources effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize responsibilities in a professional manner as per job requirements.

Requirements

  • Possess an Assessor Award such as TAQA/A Award/D32/D33 or substantial assessing experience in a regulated environment.
  • Hold Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' project management experience or hold a degree in project management or a related field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of apprenticeship standards and end point assessment methodologies.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and robust IT capabilities.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
