Overview
We are seeking an accomplished IT Project Manager to oversee and deliver multiple technology projects within the automotive industry. The contractor will work closely with stakeholders, managing various aspects of project implementation to ensure successful outcomes. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days on-site each week, and requires a proactive individual who can effectively navigate project demands and drive deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver multiple IT projects simultaneously.
- Build and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track expenditure and ensure that project benefits are realized.
- Conduct steering committee meetings, report project progress, and maintain stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure smooth project closure, documenting lessons learned and facilitating handover processes.
- Govern software product development activities.
Requirements
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is required.
- Proven experience delivering IT projects end to end using waterfall methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Capability to manage budgets up to £500,000.
- ITIL awareness is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and make decisions effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and related technologies is beneficial.
