Overview

The Infrastructure Architect will play a pivotal role in a major enterprise cloud-native transformation program, working closely with senior client stakeholders and providing technical leadership in the establishment of a large-scale OpenShift platform. This position is designed for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in enterprise architecture, who will collaborate with various infrastructure teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of cloud-native solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise OpenShift platforms.
  • Advise on cloud-native platform strategy, operating models, and best practices.
  • Design integration between OpenShift and enterprise infrastructure services.
  • Work closely with networking, storage, security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Provide expertise across software-defined networking and container networking.
  • Define infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code approaches.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders.
  • Support the successful delivery of a large-scale hybrid cloud platform programme.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing and delivering Red Hat OpenShift platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record implementing OpenShift within on-premises or hybrid infrastructure estates.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes platform architecture and cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco ACI and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
  • Strong knowledge of Container Network Interfaces (CNI).
  • Experience designing enterprise container storage solutions, including Portworx.
  • Understanding of translating traditional infrastructure and service SLAs into containerised environments.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and technical leadership teams.
