Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer will take on a crucial role in supporting and designing enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions for a key client over a three-month contract. Working primarily with AWS cloud technologies and various other vendors, the Engineer will collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure optimal performance and reliability of infrastructure systems. The position requires a mix of on-site and remote work, providing flexibility to meet the client's needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and support enterprise IT infrastructure solutions.
- Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with the IT project team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and security standards.
- Participate in the on-call rota for infrastructure support.
- Document infrastructure changes and updates effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on AWS.
- Experience in a 2nd line enterprise IT infrastructure support/project team.
- Familiarity with at least three products from vendors like Microsoft, VMware, or SQL.
- Infrastructure-related vocational certification in any of the listed vendors' products.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Available for on-call support as part of the infrastructure team.
