Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer will be instrumental in the design, deployment, migration, and optimization of Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environments within a leading FinTech organization. Working in a hybrid capacity, the engineer will collaborate with internal teams to support an ongoing migration project from VMware to Hyper-V, leveraging their expertise to enhance infrastructure performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Lead the migration project from VMware to Hyper-V.
- Optimize existing Hyper-V infrastructure.
- Administer Windows Server environments supporting virtualized applications.
- Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure solutions.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for virtualization issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and administering Hyper-V environments at scale.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
- Experience with storage technologies relevant to virtualization.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Previous experience in VMware to Hyper-V migrations.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, attending the office as required.
