Overview

The Infrastructure Engineer (M365) is responsible for leading the technical integration of multiple acquisitions for a rapidly growing business. Working in a dynamic environment, the contractor will ensure seamless IT due diligence and integration processes, manage network operations, and maintain infrastructure stability while facilitating swift site launches. They will collaborate with external service providers and internal teams to uphold security and compliance throughout the integration efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Own IT due diligence, assessment, and integration for incoming acquisitions from first audit to full consolidation.
  • Run network operations including LAN/WAN design, VPN connectivity, and firewall administration.
  • Audit cloud estates in AWS and Azure and core business applications as part of the integration process.
  • Deliver migrations including cross-tenant Google Workspace moves and directory consolidation across entities.
  • Partner with external managed service providers and internal teams to ensure uptime and compliance.
  • Oversee monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning to mitigate risks from acquisitions.
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point, providing guidance to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Google Workspace, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Strong core networking skills including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configuration.
  • Experience managing identity and directory services across multi-domain environments.
  • Proficient in automation with Python or Bash and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Background in enterprise systems like ERP and CRM, especially in M&A-driven contexts.
  • Understanding of GDPR and ISO 27001 requirements in compliance settings.
  • Ability to quickly set up new sites under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Datadog or CloudWatch and coordination with SOC functions.
