Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Lead / Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an initial three-month contract. This role serves as a crucial bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business initiatives are technically assessed and aligned before implementation. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to streamline infrastructure requirements and provide strategic oversight.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Technical Subject Matter Expert between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Review and assess incoming project requirements for technical impacts and risks.
- Liaise with business stakeholders and infrastructure engineering teams.
- Challenge and refine requirements to adopt effective technical solutions.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate and align infrastructure requirements across projects.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud, networking, and enterprise systems initiatives.
- Support planning activities by highlighting synergies and shared components.
- Ensure infrastructure and cloud requirements are identified early for smoother delivery.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in infrastructure engineering and cloud platforms.
- Experience in a senior engineer, technical lead, or solutions lead role.
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure services and Azure Service Bus.
- Proven experience in supporting business systems implementation projects.
- Knowledge of global networking principles and infrastructure environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within medium-sized or complex organisations.
- Ability to assess the wider impact of business initiatives on infrastructure.
