Overview
The Integration Lead will oversee the end-to-end integration process for a large cap private equity-backed industrial business engaged in a significant European buy-and-build initiative. Collaborating with the European leadership team, this role entails managing cross-functional workstreams across various departments to ensure successful integration of acquisitions while maintaining commercial continuity. This position is not technology-focused; it emphasizes business integration and synergy realization.
Responsibilities
- Lead post-merger integration activities from due diligence through to operational integration and synergy realization.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, HR, Logistics, and IT.
- Develop and maintain governance structures for effective integration management.
- Drive synergy realization initiatives to achieve commercial continuity post-acquisition.
- Influence stakeholders across the organization to foster collaboration and achieve integration goals.
- Manage multiple integration workstreams with a focus on companies in the £10m–£50m revenue range.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an integration leader in post-merger environments, preferably within PE-backed businesses.
- Background in industrials, manufacturing, engineering, or B2B distribution sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage integrations through influence rather than direct authority.
- Experience in building governance frameworks and managing complex integration projects.
- Strong understanding of synergy realization methodologies.
