Overview
The WMS / Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Integration Developer plays a crucial role in designing and implementing seamless integrations between Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Collaborating closely with ERP project teams and various operational divisions, this position focuses on ensuring efficient data exchange across multiple business processes to enhance operational efficiency and support growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrations between WMS/TMS platforms and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Build and support API, Web Service, EDI, and file-based integrations.
- Create extensions and customisations using Microsoft AL and Business Central development tools.
- Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot data transfer issues.
- Analyse business requirements and design scalable integration solutions.
- Produce technical specifications and mapping documents for integration architectures.
- Collaborate with business Project Managers and third-party vendors throughout project delivery.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement in integration processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in integrating WMS with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong knowledge of API, EDI, and Web Service integration methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft AL language and related development tools.
- Experience in designing scalable integration architectures and mapping documents.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data transfer issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse and finance process workflows.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and user acceptance testing.
- Understanding of data validation and integration standards.
