Overview
The Interim CIO will play a crucial role in overseeing the technology function of a leading global professional services organization, specifically focusing on the UK operations while collaborating with teams in India and various third-party partners. The contractor will be responsible for leading major transformation initiatives, refining technology strategies, and optimizing technology investments. This position offers a potential transition into a longer-term fractional CIO engagement following the initial 6-month assignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the UK technology function and oversee senior leaders in Technology, Security, and IT Governance.
- Shape and refine enterprise technology strategy and roadmap.
- Oversee the rollout of Workday across HR and Finance departments.
- Drive Data & AI transformation initiatives.
- Implement Microsoft Copilot deployment strategies.
- Enhance intelligent automation across business processes.
- Modernize legacy technology systems.
- Optimize technology investment and cost management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CIO or equivalent senior technology leadership role in a complex, multi-site organization.
- Strong background in enterprise technology transformation and strategy.
- Experience with Workday and other enterprise solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business value through technology initiatives.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on implementation.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and relationships with third-party vendors.
