Overview
The Interim D365 Systems Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting a finance transformation programme by designing, testing, and implementing finance solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). This position involves collaboration with finance, technology, and project teams to ensure that systems meet operational requirements and adhere to best practices. The contract offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to significant organizational projects.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Systems Accountant on the D365 F&O implementation.
- Support the design of finance processes within the system.
- Collaborate with implementation partners and third-party providers.
- Work alongside Finance, IT, and Project teams to ensure project alignment.
- Ensure the system meets finance requirements and adheres to best practices.
- Support system testing (SIT/UAT) and manage issue resolution.
- Create and review process and system documentation.
- Provide input into continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong background in finance, such as Systems Accountant, Finance Manager, or Finance Analyst.
- Proven experience with D365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
- Experience in supporting or delivering finance system implementations.
- Solid understanding of finance processes including P2P, R2R, and O2C.
- Experience in Project Accounting within D365 F&O.
- Ability to liaise effectively with both technical teams and finance stakeholders.
- Desirable: Experience in finance transformation programmes.
- Desirable: Background in large or complex organisations.
