Overview
The Interim Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting major energy infrastructure projects by providing valuable financial insights and strategic partnership to programme managers and delivery teams. This position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure accurate project accounting, effective management reporting, and the implementation of financial controls. The contractor will work in a hybrid setting, balancing time between the office and home-based work.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with programme managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making across capex programmes.
- Ensure accurate tracking of project expenses and forecasting in alignment with financial plans.
- Engage with stakeholders to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Produce and present management accounts, highlighting key variances and risks.
- Support the implementation of financial controls and reporting frameworks.
- Challenge assumptions and drive financial clarity in project environments.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or similar sectors is essential.
- Background in complex, multi-stakeholder project environments.
- Strong understanding of project accounting and capital investment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
