Overview
The Interim Financial Controller will play a critical role in shaping the finance function of a newly private equity-backed professional services consultancy. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position involves significant collaboration with the senior leadership team and will oversee two direct reports. The focus will be on enhancing financial reporting, implementing robust financial controls, and preparing the company for its growth journey following the investment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the professionalisation of the finance function.
- Implement new controls and processes.
- Oversee both month-end and year-end accounts.
- Manage forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Revamp board packs in line with private equity investor requirements.
- Professionalise management accounts to achieve private equity standards.
- Take charge of 13-week cash flow forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with the CFO and CEO on strategic development.
Requirements
- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified.
- Demonstrated experience as a financial controller.
- Previous role in a private equity-backed environment.
- Experience working with the senior leadership team and other stakeholders.
- Hands-on professional with a proactive attitude.
- Experience in a professional services environment is desirable.
