Overview
We are seeking an Interim Financial Controller for a tech company in N1, London, to oversee the finance function during a critical transition period. In this role, the contractor will manage the completion of a live statutory audit and maintain financial operations until a permanent Financial Controller is appointed, working closely with the finance team and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage the completion of a live statutory audit and ensure compliance with FRS 102.
- Oversee the finance function during the interim period, providing stability and direction.
- Coordinate statutory filings and financial reporting for eight entities both in the UK and internationally.
- Facilitate an effective handover process to the incoming permanent Financial Controller.
- Support the finance team in maintaining operational efficiency throughout the engagement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategies with business goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and experience with statutory audits.
- Experience managing financial operations for multiple entities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, scaling marketplace environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Availability for a three-month contract with a likelihood of extension.
