Overview
The Interim FP&A Consultant will play a critical role in supporting the finance function of a high-growth UK-based business during a transition period. Reporting directly to the CFO and collaborating closely with the CEO, this position focuses on enhancing financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes. The consultant will be tasked with delivering financial insights and improving efficiency across various financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the FP&A function during the interim period.
- Review and improve existing FP&A processes for better efficiency.
- Deliver insightful financial reporting and commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Prepare board packs, KPI dashboards, and monthly management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to consolidate and interpret data.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities using Power BI and Excel.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior FP&A leadership role within a high-growth organisation.
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
- Ability to produce insightful analysis and strategic financial commentary.
- Experience in managing board-level reporting and KPI development.
- Track record of automating and simplifying complex reporting processes.
- Comfortable working with data from multiple systems, such as ERP platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience in a Private Equity-backed environment is advantageous.
