Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interim FP&A Consultant with M&A expertise for a professional services firm in Birmingham. The successful candidate will support financial due diligence processes for ongoing and future acquisitions, working closely with the Group CFO and M&A Director. This role is a hybrid position, requiring travel to Birmingham offices and is expected to last for a minimum of three months, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Support the financial due diligence (FDD) process for multiple acquisitions.
- Interrogate financial reports and cash flow forecasts from potential acquisitions.
- Build and develop FP&A models to assist corporate finance activities.
- Propose strategies in collaboration with the private equity-house and senior leadership team.
- Enhance internal FP&A processes and work with the finance team on streamlining.
- Support post-acquisition integration of newly acquired entities.
- Assist with ad hoc project work for the Finance Director and M&A Director as required.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, ACMA, or ACCA) with at least 5 years' PQE.
- Demonstrable experience as an interim professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in supporting M&A activity within acquisitive settings.
- Extensive experience as an FP&A professional with advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with private equity-backed environments is preferred.
- Ability to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to new roles.
