Overview
The Interim FP&A Lead role is designed for a commercial finance professional who will work closely with operational and commercial leaders in a high-growth business setting. In this pivotal position, the contractor will play a crucial role in enhancing decision-making processes across the organization by providing insightful analysis of business performance and driving actionable improvements. The focus of this role is on strengthening forecasting methods, improving financial performance visibility, and fostering a data-driven culture within the company.
Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to understand and enhance business performance.
- Lead weekly and monthly performance analysis, identifying key revenue, margin, and operational drivers.
- Transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Own and refine driver-based forecasting and planning processes.
- Challenge assumptions and improve forecast accuracy across the business.
- Support strategic decisions related to hiring, capacity planning, pricing, and commercial initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to boost profitability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics that enable effective decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Business Partnering, or Analytics.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience working with senior operational and commercial stakeholders.
- Ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely in a commercial context.
- Proactive and inquisitive mindset with a keen interest in business drivers.
- Experience in leading forecasting, planning, and performance management processes.
- Desirable: Experience with high-growth, operationally focused, or revenue-generating businesses.
- Familiarity with driver-based forecasting methodologies and reporting tools.
