Overview
The Interim FP&A Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Director and the commercial finance team within a dynamic, private equity-backed organization. This position involves working closely with operational leaders to enhance financial performance through effective forecasting, reporting, and analysis, focusing on driving improvements across multiple UK sites. The role is designed for finance professionals who are keen to contribute to a rapidly growing business during a six-month contract period.
Responsibilities
- Deliver effective reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Collaborate with site managers and operational leads to identify efficiency improvements and enhance margins.
- Conduct detailed margin analysis at product and customer levels.
- Analyze stock reports and implement improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and support standard costing, including BOMs and labour cost calculations.
- Track and challenge business improvement initiatives across UK sites.
- Prepare, review, and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports and KPIs.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, identifying risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant FP&A experience.
- A recognised finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of NetSuite, Power BI or SQL is advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
- Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other UK sites.
