Overview
The Interim Global FP&A Director will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the Group Financial Planning and Analysis function for a large international organization, engaging directly with executive-level stakeholders. This position aims to provide strategic financial insight and challenge while ensuring effective performance reporting across multiple operational entities globally. The contractor will facilitate decision-making through financial analysis and build strong relationships throughout the organization as they guide the finance teams in various markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Group FP&A function, driving best-in-class financial planning and performance reporting processes.
- Partner directly with the Group CFO and executive leadership to provide strategic financial insight.
- Deliver high-quality board and executive reporting, ensuring financial performance is clear and actionable.
- Provide leadership across international entities, driving consistency and accountability in financial management.
- Challenge assumptions and provide commercially-focused recommendations to enhance business performance.
- Act as an influential finance leader, building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Support strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis and scenario planning.
- Lead and influence senior finance teams across various international markets.
Requirements
- Significant experience in large, complex multinational organizations with revenues between £750 million and £1.5 billion.
- Strong background in industrials, manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industry environments.
- Previous experience leading Group or Global FP&A functions at Director or equivalent level.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage executive audiences.
- Collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to challenge and make decisive contributions.
- Strong commercial acumen with capability to translate financial performance into strategic insights.
- Experience in matrixed, international environments with multiple operational entities.
