Overview
We are seeking an Interim Lead Fullstack Engineer to spearhead solution design and oversee delivery within a distributed engineering setup for a three-month contract. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with engineering teams and founders, ensuring the development of high-quality features while mentoring a small group of engineers. The position emphasizes technical leadership, hands-on development, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end solution design for new features within a defined architectural framework.
- Act as the technical and delivery lead for a squad of engineers.
- Break down product requirements and user stories into clear tasks and manage timelines for on-time delivery.
- Run or participate in daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and review ceremonies.
- Take ownership of complex tasks, focusing on architecture and performance considerations.
- Write high-quality, testable code and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Drive improvements in technical design, developer experience, and internal processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in backend application development with Python and frontend web application development using modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably React.js).
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and delivering projects.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Experience in designing and maintaining automated testing and CI pipelines.
- Comfortable working in agile environments and dealing with live incidents.
- Understanding of industry best practices related to security and scalability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and external partners.
