Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join our small IT team on a 3-month contract basis. This role involves providing hands-on technical support and managing IT infrastructure during a period of growth. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal users and senior stakeholders, ensuring efficient operations and supporting various IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line technical support to internal users.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user administration.
- Assist with hardware deployment, software installations, and device configuration.
- Support networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and switching.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and mobile device issues.
- Coordinate IT priorities alongside senior stakeholders to ensure business continuity.
- Maintain documentation and follow IT best practices.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and desktop support.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Understanding of Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.
- Basic networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with backup solutions and endpoint security.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
