Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Operations Consultant to provide third-line support and lead a comprehensive technology audit for a cybersecurity organization undergoing a transition. The successful contractor will work closely with the Head of IT to assess the current IT environment, support ongoing projects, and implement improvements while focusing on the Microsoft ecosystem and platform optimization.
Responsibilities
- Provide third-line support for escalated technical issues, particularly with Intune and M365.
- Work on key projects, including ISO 27001 implementation and Microsoft licensing optimization.
- Conduct a thorough audit of the technology estate alongside the Head of IT.
- Identify skill gaps for future team design and assist in documenting systems and processes.
- Enable the rollout of new AI initiatives by supporting Copilot implementation across the organization.
- Engage hands-on with project work while balancing advisory and audit responsibilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Microsoft 365 environment, particularly with Intune, Entra ID, O365, and D365.
- Familiarity with cloud-native applications such as Function Apps, Logic Apps, and Power Automate.
- Experience working in smaller or lean IT environments.
- Ability to identify gaps and recommend improvements in the technology strategy.
- Proactive and self-motivated with strong ownership of technical challenges.
- Capability to balance hands-on delivery with advisory/audit responsibilities.
