Overview
The IT Project Delivery Manager will play a critical role in overseeing major technology and platform changes within the retail sector. This position requires a seasoned professional who will communicate effectively among various stakeholder groups, anticipate risks, and ensure that the business is well-prepared for crucial platform releases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate decision-making and drive the overall success of technology deployments.
Responsibilities
- Lead change readiness activities for major platform and technology releases.
- Create and own cutover and rollback plans for successful deployments.
- Maintain RAID logs and proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops across various teams.
- Produce clear readiness assessments and executive-level status reports.
- Translate technical complexities into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Drive governance and decision-making throughout the change lifecycle.
- Oversee hypercare activities post-deployment, including KPI tracking and issue management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Project Delivery Manager or similar role in large-scale technology environments.
- Strong expertise in managing complex platform deployments and cutovers.
- Significant experience within retail organizations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills at all levels.
- Ability to influence across teams and build alignment in siloed environments.
- Strong facilitation, governance, and reporting experience.
- Technical understanding of operational and business risks.
