Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a contract position to lead and deliver multiple technology projects in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project alignment with stakeholders while managing end-to-end delivery in a hybrid working arrangement. This position is ideal for someone with a robust background in managing factory connected IT systems and direct experience in the automotive sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver multiple IT projects simultaneously.
- Build project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change throughout project lifecycles.
- Track spending against budgets and ensure benefits remain on target.
- Run steering committees, report project progress, and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ensure smooth project closure, documentation of lessons learned, and handovers to operational teams.
Requirements
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification required.
- Proven experience delivering IT projects end to end using waterfall project management methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing budgets up to £500k.
- ITIL awareness is a plus.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and make decisions quickly.
