Overview
The IT Project Manager for the BEV Project will play a critical role in managing a high-profile, fast-paced programme focused on IT workstream delivery in various environments such as infrastructure, networking, and factory systems. The contractor will work closely with stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure that project milestones are met while maintaining governance and reporting standards. This position is particularly suited for an experienced IT project manager looking to contribute to complex delivery programmes in a rapidly evolving sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project and epic plans, managing the critical path and ensuring key deliverables are documented.
- Coordinate workstream activity across stakeholders, internal teams, third-party suppliers, and dependent milestones.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and actions, ensuring updates are maintained weekly.
- Support governance forums by completing necessary inputs, outputs, and highlight reports according to programme standards.
- Implement programme change control processes including impact assessments and change requests.
- Communicate project progress through regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Facilitate lessons learned activities and support continuous improvement efforts across delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager in complex, multi-workstream programmes.
- Extensive experience delivering complex IT infrastructure and communication projects in industrial environments.
- Strong project management skills, including managing large-scale project plans.
- Effective leadership and stakeholder management skills in a matrix environment.
- Experience with risk, issue, and dependency management across complex delivery programmes.
- Knowledge of project methodologies, particularly Waterfall.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance best practices.
- Prince2 certification or equivalent preferred.
