Overview
The IT Project Manager for the BEV Project will play a crucial role in driving a high-profile, dynamic programme focused on delivering key IT workstream outcomes related to infrastructure, networking, and factory systems. The contractor will collaborate with various stakeholders, manage project risks, and ensure the successful execution of project plans while maintaining a focus on governance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project and epic plans, ensuring key deliverables are documented and understood.
- Coordinate workstream activities across stakeholders, internal teams, and third-party suppliers to support project delivery.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and actions, providing regular updates on progress.
- Support governance forums by preparing necessary documentation in line with programme standards.
- Implement change control processes across the workstream, including impact assessments and change requests.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders through regular updates and reports, aligning expectations with goals.
- Facilitate lessons learned activities to promote continuous improvement in delivery and reporting standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager or similar role within complex, multi-workstream programmes.
- Extensive experience in delivering IT infrastructure, networking, and communications projects in industrial environments.
- Demonstrated capability in creating and managing large-scale project plans.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate teams in a matrix environment.
- Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies within high-pressure projects.
- Deep knowledge of project methodologies, preferably Waterfall.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance best practices.
- Prince2 certification or equivalent is preferred.
