Overview
We are seeking an IT Service Management Consultant to support the evolution of a structured IT function aligned to ITIL principles. The consultant will work closely with governance teams, ensuring consistency across end-to-end processes and enhancing release management frameworks. This role focuses on integrating processes from demand to delivery, improving operational efficiency, and establishing a measurable operating model over a duration of 4 months in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess current release processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Define an end-to-end release lifecycle model and standardise release types.
- Introduce criteria and approval controls for release readiness.
- Align release processes with CI/CD pipelines and establish governance models.
- Design a single front door for all IT work and categorise work types.
- Implement a prioritisation framework and establish approval gates before initiating work.
- Align processes with tooling and eliminate manual activities.
- Define key performance measures and metrics for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience with ITIL principles and IT Service Management.
- Strong background in release management and process integration.
- Experience in establishing governance frameworks within IT functions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and change management.
- Ability to design and implement prioritisation frameworks.
- Deep understanding of demand and intake management processes.
- Experience with metrics and performance measurement in IT.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to operational efficiencies.
