Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Software Delivery Lead to support a significant retail transformation initiative by delivering a new Ecommerce platform into production. In this role, you will work closely with various technical teams and report directly to the Programme Director, ensuring successful coordination of complex software platform changes across multiple workstreams. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the delivery process, identifying risks, and maintaining effective stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of software platform changes.
- Coordinate multiple technical workstreams to ensure successful production releases.
- Drive delivery governance, RAID management, and executive reporting.
- Plan and manage release activities including deployment and rollback.
- Engage with Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, QA, and third-party suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks and dependencies.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning and stakeholder meetings.
- Support production releases and transition to business as usual (BAU).
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Software Delivery Lead or similar role.
- Demonstrated history of delivering large-scale software and Ecommerce platforms in retail.
- Strong background in software platform change and legacy platform migration.
- Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills for senior leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of software delivery and release management processes.
- Experience in Agile software delivery environments with multiple technical teams.
