Overview
We are seeking a fluent Mandarin-speaking Java Tech Lead to join an AI-Native and Digital Transformation team on a fully remote basis. The successful contractor will lead digital transformation efforts for clients in the iGaming and Sports Betting sectors, focusing on the technical implementations and championing innovative, AI-assisted development methodologies. This position involves significant ownership of project workstreams and the creation of robust Java services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the workstream, managing it from conception through to delivery.
- Define and oversee technical implementations to shape the development process.
- Champion AI-assisted working methodologies within the project team.
- Build Java services leveraging REST APIs and Kafka/event-driven pipelines.
- Write unit tests as an integral part of the development process following TDD practices.
- Integrate third-party APIs into the existing architecture.
- Ensure strong security practices are maintained across the stack.
- Drive full DevOps ownership throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience with modern Java (Java 8+) and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in building RESTful Java APIs and Kafka/event-driven services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud services, particularly AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, MSK).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization techniques.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and AI integrations.
- Strong understanding of security practices in software development.
- Ability to implement agentic development workflows effectively.
