Overview
The Lead Cloud Architect will join a consultancy focused on digital transformation, leading a data migration project tailored for the iGaming and Sports Betting sector. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the architect will assess current systems, define target architectures, and address technical challenges while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. This position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence a few days a week in Cheshire, with an immediate start date expected.
Responsibilities
- Conduct current state assessments of architecture and data flows.
- Identify and articulate technical and organizational blockers.
- Define and own target architecture through to delivery.
- Serve as the senior technical voice throughout the engagement.
- Bridge the knowledge gap within the client team regarding AWS skills.
- Challenge existing methods and foster confidence in new approaches.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, particularly with AWS and Lakehouse architecture.
- Strong background in hands-on technical development and engineering roles.
- iGaming and Sports Betting industry experience is highly desirable.
- Understanding of regulated environments and their implications.
- Proficient with AWS data platforms: S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, EKS.
- Experience in delivering large-scale migration projects.
- Familiarity with AI tools and processes that enhance operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
