Overview
We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical scope on multiple major water frameworks. This role will involve leading technical delivery, managing teams, and ensuring quality engineering outputs across various design and delivery phases. The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams to drive engineering excellence and coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces within UK water infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of electrical engineering scope across multiple projects.
- Manage schedules, change controls, and technical coordination.
- Delegate and oversee work packages within the electrical team.
- Support estimating activities including Cost Time Resources (CTR) development.
- Provide technical leadership across all engineering deliverables.
- Prepare requisitions for high voltage/low voltage equipment.
- Review supplier quotations and conduct technical bid assessments.
- Ensure compliance with UK and international standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or in progress).
- Strong knowledge of UK standards and legislation.
- Experience in regulated environments, including explosive atmospheres.
- Knowledge of CE marking requirements (ATEX, PED, LV Directive, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and risk management principles.
- Proof of right to work in the UK is required.
