Overview
We are seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to provide strategic guidance in technology and business architecture for public sector and regulated clients, with a focus on aligning business strategy with regulatory and policy objectives. The ideal candidate will manage enterprise architecture initiatives, supporting digital transformation while collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with public sector standards. The role offers the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement, requiring occasional travel for client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the Enterprise Architecture vision, principles, and standards.
- Develop and maintain baseline, transition, and target architectures aligned to organizational strategy.
- Produce enterprise roadmaps that balance strategic ambition with delivery feasibility.
- Establish architecture governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead architectural input for business cases, programs, and complex digital transformation initiatives.
- Guide cloud adoption and legacy system replacements to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
- Collaborate with business leaders and non-technical stakeholders to convey architectural concepts clearly.
- Identify and manage architectural risks and promote best practices through reference architectures.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Lead Enterprise Architect in complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of business, application, data, integration, infrastructure, and security architecture.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture tools, particularly Ardoq.
- Proven track record in defining enterprise-wide architectures for public sector or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as TOGAF and compliance standards like GDS.
- Deep expertise in cloud and hybrid architectures, specifically AWS and Azure.
- Experience working in multi-supplier and outsourced delivery environments.
- Active or eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work.
