Overview

We are looking for a Lead Instrument Engineer to provide technical expertise and engineering input for project work scopes within the energy sector. The contractor will collaborate with project teams to ensure the effective operation and integrity of instrumentation systems. This role includes the development of technical documentation and compliance with industry standards to support safe and efficient engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering input to project work scopes and estimates.
  • Collaborate in progress and planning meetings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Specify modifications and new purchases for equipment including DCS and metering systems.
  • Conduct site surveys for offshore or onshore assets as needed.
  • Develop and produce calculations and contribute to design reviews.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards in all engineering activities.
  • Review and approve discipline documents and ensure adherence to codes and standards.
  • Produce and manage discipline documentation deliverables for project work packs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Instrument Engineer in the energy sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation systems including DCS, ESD, and field instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Experience in conducting site surveys and producing technical documentation.
  • Ability to work with limited companies and understand contract regulations.
