Overview
We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to contribute to a leading UK banking and technology services provider. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with Agile teams to build scalable web applications and client-facing solutions while ensuring accessibility best practices are met. You will leverage your extensive experience in Java and frontend technologies to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver client-facing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility best practices in application design.
- Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering their growth and skills.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, BA, and QA.
- Utilize various tools like IntelliJ IDEA, Jenkins, and JIRA for project management and development.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Java development, including Java 8/7.
- Proficient in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and JEE technologies.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including JavaScript and ReactJS.
- Experience with XML technologies and accessibility tools such as NVDA and WAVE.
- Familiarity with tools such as Git, Maven, and JIRA.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring developers and product delivery.
