Overview
The Lead Planning Engineer will be integral to the success of an LNG project, focusing on the development and management of the project schedule. The contractor will collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. This role emphasizes strategic planning, interface management, and progress measurement in a dynamic project environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop the strategy for an integrated EPCI phase schedule.
- Support the preparation and update of Level 1, 2, and 3 schedules.
- Lead the development of project interface schedules.
- Maintain systems and procedures for Project Planning and Scheduling.
- Perform in-depth reviews and analysis related to Scheduling and Progress Measurement.
- Identify concerns affecting project completion and advise on corrective actions.
- Conduct Critical Path Analysis and report findings.
- Prepare resource deployment plans and validate their adequacy for completion schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
- Specific experience in LNG projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera software.
- Strong background in developing EPCI schedules and progress reporting.
- Expertise in Schedule Risk Analysis and Critical Path Analysis.
- Ability to advise on project corrective actions based on analysis.
