Overview
The Lead Platform Engineer will play a pivotal role in a dynamic InsurTech organization, overseeing technical projects and driving best practices within the Platform Team. This contract position focuses on a significant re-platforming initiative, where the engineer will provide mentorship and contribute directly to the delivery process in a modern, cloud-native environment alongside a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of platform projects and initiatives.
- Mentor and support team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Implement best practices for CI/CD and automation within the platform.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align platform development with organizational goals.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Azure and Kubernetes with a hands-on approach.
- Proven experience in leading or mentoring platform engineering teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments is a plus.
