Overview
As a Lead Service Designer, you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders in the health and public sectors to drive digital transformation through effective service design and product ownership. You will shape the future of how organisations access and manage complex datasets, ensuring that services meet user needs and regulatory standards. Your work will focus on creating user-centred solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency across various digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of end-to-end user journeys for health and public sector services.
- Map, analyse, and optimise services involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
- Develop service blueprints and future-state service designs.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with teams in Product, Delivery, Engineering, and Operations.
- Shape product vision and priorities for data-driven platforms.
- Conduct user research and translate insights into service enhancements.
- Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders to promote user-centred design.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Lead Service Designer, Product Owner, or similar role.
- Proven track record in designing digital services for healthcare or public sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Government Digital Service (GDS) principles.
- Expertise in service blueprinting, journey mapping, and systems thinking.
- Experience with data-intensive platforms and digital public services.
- Strong user research and data synthesis skills.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Proficiency in modern design tools, particularly Figma.
