Overview
We are seeking a Lead Technical Architect with expertise in Azure Cloud Migration for a remote contract role. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and governance throughout the migration of a crucial application to Microsoft Azure, collaborating with key stakeholders, delivery teams, and third-party suppliers. This opportunity is focused on ensuring a secure and operationally effective cloud solution within a high-profile programme.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical governance and architecture assurance for the migration programme.
- Review and validate Azure architecture and landing zone design.
- Oversee security, compliance, and disaster recovery requirements.
- Assess and mitigate technical risks and dependencies.
- Support migration planning, implementation, and service transition.
- Facilitate architecture workshops and governance forums.
- Act as the primary technical interface between stakeholders and suppliers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in leading large-scale Azure cloud migrations.
- Proven track record as a Lead Technical Architect in complex environments.
- Experience operating at SFIA Level 6/7.
- Ability to provide technical governance across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong communication skills to engage senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure Architecture and Enterprise Networking.
- Knowledge of Identity & Access Management and Security Architecture.
- Desirable certifications include Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect and TOGAF.
