Overview
We are seeking a Lead Oracle Developer and a Senior Oracle Developer for a hybrid contract position. The successful candidates will design, develop, and support enterprise Oracle database solutions, working closely with architects, business analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure effective delivery. This role requires a strong background in Oracle development, with a focus on optimizing PL/SQL implementations and enhancing database performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise Oracle database solutions.
- Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, views, and cursors.
- Collaborate with architects and project stakeholders to support solution design activities.
- Conduct query optimization, performance tuning, and database enhancement.
- Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior developers.
- Support release management, testing, and production deployments.
- Manage development activities across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Experience developing solutions on Oracle Database 19c preferred.
- Expertise in Oracle procedures, packages, functions, views, and cursors.
- Familiarity with Oracle Forms and Reports (10g/11g or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and ER diagrams.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git, SVN, or PVCS.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and database troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments like JIRA and Confluence.
